Hello/Goodbye: HFHK announces staff changes
A Fond Farewell to Lindsay Lancaster
HFHK's Development Director and Program Manager Lindsay Lancaster is leaving us to pursue her true passion: nature conservation. Many of you know Lindsay, who has contributed greatly to the growth and success of HFHK for the past nine years. In every new challenge given to her, she has gone above and beyond.
Lindsay started in 2012 as a Public Ally, a part of AmeriCorps.
She stayed on to serve first as our Program Coordinator, then Program Manager and most recently, Development Director. Lindsay wore many hats; teaching in the schools, heavy physical garden work, outreach, fundraising, organizing events, managing volunteers, grant writing. She’s truly versatile, talented, and smart. We could not have wished for a more dedicated, conscientious, hardworking and trustworthy colleague.
Lindsay is joining the Student Conservation Association as a Foundation Relations Specialist. Although we are sad to see her go, we wish her every success in the future. All of us at HFHK express our deepest gratitude to Lindsay for all she has accomplished and for her dedication and true devotion to advancing HFHK’s mission.
Joe Jankowski joins as Public Ally
Welcome to our new Public Ally for the 2021-2022 school year: Joseph Jankowski.
Joe will teach, create training videos for teachers and students, and produce public relations materials that highlight HFHK’s impact in the community.
Joe holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Albright College. His passions include creating sustainable futures for all, developing eco-friendly ways to develop green energy, and remediating environmental damage. He also enjoys expressing himself through painting, drawing, writing, and debating philosophy. Joe is very excited to help HFHK achieve our goal to “Veggie-cate the First State”.
Jen Cipolla named Program Manager
Congratulations to Jen on her promotion to program manager. Jen's hard work and dedication to HFHK over many years have made her a valuable member of the team already.
Jen enjoys working with children, teaching them new skills and watching their curiosity bloom as they plant gardens and try new vegetables. Jen was a certified swim instructor for the YMCA of Delaware for 9 years. She is mom to 2 teenagers and active in the Brandywine School District and North Wilmington community. She has incorporated her teaching experience and community engagement into how she interacts with students and teachers at our partner schools. Jen has an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
