HFHK thanks The Laffey-McHugh Foundation

Support from The Laffey-McHugh Foundation has been instrumental in growing Healthy Food for Healthy Kids' organizational capacity.

We are grateful to have received grant funding to support our Program Manager Lindsay Lancaster, as she assumed greater responsibilities during our statewide expansion. Lindsay has been with HFHK since 2012; first as a Public Ally, then as our first full-time employee.

The Laffey-McHugh Foundation also provided special funding to the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) to offset 65% of the cost of a DANA consultant to facilitate our strategic planning process focused on branding, fundraising, and succession planning. In addition, with help from The Laffey-McHugh Foundation, we were able to partner with the Beau Biden Foundation to create new child protection policies, train our staff, and become a Shield of Protection® partner.

Since 1959, The Laffey-McHugh Foundation provides funding to 501(c)(3), non-profit organizations meeting the needs of underserved communities in Delaware.

Thank you to The Laffey-McHugh Foundation for cheering on our organizational growth as we “Veggie-cate the First State.”
