HFHK receives Community Partner Award from the Brandywine School District

On Monday, March 17th, 2025, Dr. Lisa Lawson, Superintendent of the Brandywine School District (BSD), presented HFHK with a prestigious Community Partner Award during the school board meeting. This award celebrates HFHK's unwavering dedication to supporting BSD students, families, and schools, as well as our lasting positive impact on the community.

Since the very beginning of HFHK's education cultivation program, BSD has been a proud partner, with our very first partner school garden being built at Springer Middle School. Over the years, the partnership has flourished, with HFHK expanding its program to include an impressive seven BSD elementary schools (Mount Pleasant, Forwood, Lombardy, Hanby, Carrcroft, Lancashire, and Maple Lane). Through these efforts, HFHK has provided hands-on science experience and an estimated 11,962 pounds of fresh produce for BSD students to harvest and enjoy.
